Rabbits
All our rabbits at CAS are vaccinated against Myxomatosis and two strains of Rabbit Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (RVHD) this is essential and should take place annually. They are also neutered, a vital thing when bonding rabbits.
Rabbits are social animals, and so need to be homed in pairs or a group. CAS therefore don’t allow adoption of a single rabbit unless you have another one at home to bond it with (pair it with).
Your existing rabbit must have been vaccinated and neutered. We also have pairs of rabbits that are already bonded and ready for homing.
We will only rehome to RWAF standards, which is a minimum of 3m by 2m by 1m. We will not adopt to anyone who cannot meet the needs and requirements that we set out.
A rabbits diet is made up of 80% hay, we recommend a good quality hay, a small amount of pellets and some fresh herbs or vegetables.
