Volunteers help Croydon Animal Samaritans in many ways.
- Fostering animals short term until permanent homes are found.
- Fund raising - Work on own initiative to raise funds, help at events, knit catnip mice.
- Volunteer staff at our charity shop - to help with the day to day running and operation at our charity shop
Please note we are only able to offer students work experience placements at our charity shop.
Cat & Dog Fosterers
If you live within the area of South East London, South Croydon, Banstead, Caterham or in the surroundings areas we would love to hear from you.
Croydon Animal Samaritans will build a chalet with its own heater in your garden, we will pay all the costs and provide you with food, litter, bowls etc and even the cleaning products you will need. The only thing we need you to provide is tender loving care for these cats or kittens who have lost their homes for one reason or another through no fault of their own.
If you are willing to foster but do not have space in your garden for a purpose built chalet then you can still foster in your own home if you have a spare room or we can provide you with a cat pen.
Vet bills are all paid for by our different ways of fundraising and the small donation we ask for when re-homing our cats and kittens.
We won't ask you to check new homes just welcome the new people when they come to view, then to collect their new 'babies'.

Pet food Donation Programme 2021, collecting and emptying donations bins
CAS has a number of food donation bins dotted in and around the South London area
Each bin is used to collect food and supplies for the cats in our care, as well as the feral colonies we manage, and need to be emptied regularly.
We are looking for volunteers to empty bins, drop off donated food at several central sites and send through totals (tins and pouch totals, brand splits) to Nina Quistorff.
