Welcome to Croydon Animal Samaritans |

Homes desperately needed!
Homes are always desperately needed, so if you can offer one or more cats or kittens a home there are lots to choose from on the cats and kittens pages. The fosterers will be glad to receive your calls.
How to adopt an animal from CAS
If you see a cat or dog that you would like to adopt, you must telephone the fosterer whose telephone number appears with the cat or dogs details. Please do not send emails in regard to adoption. Thank you.
Our volunteers are not able to answer the phone before 9am or after 7pm except in an emergency.
Do we ask for a donation when someone adopts an animal?
Yes, we do ask for a donation upon adoption of an animal, to give you an idea, we generally ask for a minimum donation of £65 per cat/kitten. In certain circumstances, this can be adjusted depending on the animal adopted and is at the discretion of the fosterer.
Please note if we are happy to home a cat or dog with you a lot will depend on what is available for homing at the time of your call.
General Helpline: 020 8644 8829

If you are calling from a mobile telephone please be prepared to call us back as due to limited funds we are unable to return calls to numbers that are not landline numbers.
Not Just Croydon
Croydon Animal Samaritans have been helping and rescuing animals since 1974. We have many volunteers all working hard to rescue, foster and rehome all animals taken into our care.
Contrary to what our name suggests we cover a wide area not just Croydon. Our name was originally 'Animal Samaritans' but changed to Croydon Animal Samaritans when we found that another group had started using the same name.
We always have many animals that are desperately in need of loving homes, most of which you can find right here on the website. If you are not able to offer a home, you can still help by sponsoring any of the cats and dogs or feral cats who we are unable to home but who still need our care.
Another important part of Croydon Animal Samaritans is the fundraising side of the charity and we hold Christmas and Easter Fairs as well as an Open Day every Summer. We also have a fund raising shop in Croydon, please see our News page.
We rely totally on donations and fund raising to support the work we do.
We also have several foster homes across Surrey and into London, so we cater for a huge area to rehome the many cats and dogs that we rescue. We have foster homes that cater for West Sussex too. Please see the link for Areas Covered for more details on where are fosterers are currently based.
All of our cats have been checked for good health and are neutered and vaccinated wherever necessary.
If you are interested in offering a home to any of our animals or maybe you would like to help with one of our fundraising events by participating or donating goods then please contact us on our General Helpline (see above).
